What we collect when you order, and what we do with it.
Who we are
ARKH is operated from Melbourne, Australia. For any privacy question, write to contact@arkhjewels.com.au.
What we collect
The information you give us in order to fulfil an order or answer an enquiry — your name, delivery address, email address, phone number where you provide one, and the contents of messages you send us.
Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us.
What we use it for
Fulfilling your order, arranging delivery, handling customs paperwork, answering your questions, and keeping records we are legally required to keep.
We do not sell your information.
Who else sees your details
Shopify, which runs our checkout and takes the payment. Your card details go to Shopify and its payment provider, never to us — we never see or hold a card number. Shopify stores this data on its own servers, which are outside Australia. Their privacy terms are at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Australia Post, which carries the parcel. They receive the name, delivery address and phone number needed to deliver it, and nothing else.
Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visited and which pages they read. It does not receive your name, address or anything you typed. You can refuse it with any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics, and the site works exactly the same.
Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone, and we do not run advertising that tracks you across other websites.
Email from us
We email you about your own order without asking, because you cannot receive an order without it.
Anything else — a new range, a festival — only goes to people who asked for it, and every one of those emails can be stopped with one click. We never add a customer to a mailing list because they bought something.
How long we keep it, and how to see it
Order records are kept for seven years, because Australian tax law requires it. Anything else is kept only while it is useful and deleted when it is not.
Write to contact@arkhjewels.com.au and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — except the order records the law makes us keep. We answer within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
