Terms
The basis on which we sell.
Prices and currency
Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include no import duty or tax levied outside Australia.
Because silver and gold prices move, the price of a piece may change between visits. The price you are quoted in writing for a made-to-order piece is the price we will honour for that commission.
What we describe
Most silver pieces are 925 sterling — 92.5% silver. Where a piece is a different purity, its own page says so. A gold-plated 925 piece is a sterling silver piece with gold plating.
Radiance diamonds are lab-grown and independently certified by IGI or GIA at a minimum of G colour and VS2 clarity. Gold is 9K, 14K or 18K, stated on each piece.
Photographs are of the piece or of the same design. Handmade and one-of-a-kind pieces vary slightly, and silver weight is measured on the finished piece.
Orders
An order is accepted when we confirm it. If a one-of-a-kind piece has already sold, or we cannot make a commission to the specification agreed, we will tell you and refund in full.
Your rights under Australian law
Our pieces come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a piece has a major problem you are entitled to a replacement or a refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. If the problem is not major we will repair or replace it within a reasonable time.
Nothing written anywhere on this site takes those rights away from you. Where anything we have said appears to limit them, the law wins and the sentence does not.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for the piece being what we described, being of acceptable quality, and reaching you. Beyond the rights above, and to the extent the law allows it, our liability for any one order is limited to what you paid for it.
We are not responsible for a delay caused by a customs authority, or by a carrier once a parcel has left us — though if a parcel is lost or damaged in transit we replace the piece or refund you, and take it up with the carrier ourselves. That is our problem, not yours.
If something goes wrong between us
Write to contact@arkhjewels.com.au first. Almost everything is settled that way, quickly, by a person.
If it is not, these terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction. This does not stop you using the consumer protections or the dispute services of your own country if you bought from outside Australia.
